Srikanth Movie Review: Rajkumar Hirani Ko Fail Kar Diya!!!

It has been a very long time since I have seen a film in which the actor is emotional on the screen but tears are in your eyes off the screen. Rajkumar Hirani Sir is considered an expert in this category but recently Dunki had cheated the public, the feeling of Munna Bhai was missing. Well, another राजकुमार has come back to correct the mistake of the other राजकुमार. You can trust this राजकुमार with closed eyes because no matter what kind of film, his acting is always number one. Rajkumar Rao as Srikanth have reached the theaters with a big, emotional family film. Well, hello, my name is Artist and we will meet again and again.

The hero of this film is a chess champion, a genius in maths, faster than a calculator and has worn the national team jersey in cricket. After hearing all this, perhaps you will be impressed. But you will be shocked to hear that our hero's super power is that he is blind. Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam whose fan was the whole world at one time, was the biggest fan of our hero as well as a business partner. Well, हम teacher से पिटकर घर भाग जाते थे. Whereas, this guy had fought with the entire education system because he was asked to take Arts instead of Science.

And do you know what dialogue this guy gave in front of the judge after going to the court to fight against the education system? अंधे की मदद कर दीजिए साब क्योंकि आपका कानून भी तो अंधा है।But the story started from a pit under the ground, his own family members wanted to kill his as soon as they were born, no one wanted a blind child, then what happened that the person whom People gave a bowl in his hand and asked him to beg was invited him to study in America's most expensive college whose fee is ₹45 lakh, absolutely free.

This is the story of Srikant, who was asked by a lawyer why he wanted to study Science. Just think, if Newton had not seen the apple falling from the tree because he was blind then how would the whole world have known about gravity. Do you know what Srikanth said? Even before Newton, millions of people would have seen the apple falling but Newton thought about it and to think, brain is needed, not eyes. Look, when a film starts with a classic song, that too Papa kehte the bada naam karega, then the expectation from the picture reaches the level of 3 idiots.

Then imagine an actor playing the role of a blind person that too when he is not actually blind means that the acting of the film is going to be next level. You know that Bollywood leaves no stone unturned in making a poor person great by adding mirch-masala in the story. How easy it was to make the story of a blind man full of masala and sell it by making it motivational and emotional. Had two-three sad songs been added to it, perhaps it would have gotten a National Award too, but the X Factor of Srikanth is that this is not a tragedy, it is just a normal movie like other movies.

The most amazing thing is that the film has focused on presenting Srikanth as a normal person, he is not always a hero, he also has a villain in him. The film can be easily understood by every type of audience as it has been made in a simple manner and not very technical and is full of entertainment. Just like a biopic is made on a person, suppose he is a scientist, then for two-three hours, such things are shown which perhaps 50% people would not understand. But Srikanth has not made this mistake at all, the makers have made things interesting by connecting the matters related to education with the court, there you will get some comedy and the business angle has been mixed with emotions of good, bad and greed which forces us to judge a person. This is both the strength and weakness of the film because Srikanth sometimes seems so normal that we forget why he is special from others.

It would be wrong to make a complete film and sell it 100% of the challenges that come in the life of a visually impaired person, but it is very important to give a feel to that thing, only then we will be able to relate to the real story of Srikanth. Rajkummar Rao's acting puts a curtain on Real V/S Reel, his acting looks so real and natural as if I am watching an interview of the real Srikanth. The whole time I felt as if I am watching the first Indian film whose lead is a visually challenged man, meaning you cannot find even a single mistake in his character in any scene. You will be most impressed by the sudden twist angle in his character when he starts considering himself a God like Gaitonde Bhau of Secret Games. No one would have expected that there could be such a scene in the film when you get angry on a blind person. Rest, Jyotika Ma'am, the credit which was left in the last time Shaitaan movie, she snatched it this time by playing a feel-good character.

Sharat Kelkar has a special role in the film. How can two good actors together take the graph of a film up, you will understand yourself while watching Srikanth. In Bade Miyan Chhote Miyan, Alaya created disturbance in our mind and has filled the audience's heart in one go. Srikanth get full three and a half stars out of five from me. First, it is not the story of poor blind Srikanth, but a chance to meet the real Srikanth. Second, a nice and feel-good movie after a long time. Writing wise you will feel like listening to the dialogues of the film again and again. Third star for the brilliant performance of Rajkumar Rao, apart from him, you will not be able to think of any other actor in this role. Another half star for “papa, kehte the bada naam karega”, best use of this line. Complaint: Only success story is shown but failure is not shown, that's why Srikanth felt it was a bit of a filter film and small complaint is that the ending of the film was sudden, i.e. two-three scenes were scattered here and there, leaving them in the middle and the end came in a short family film. The acting is good, the message is good and there is no tragedy at all. If you want a break from IPL, then go to the theater and watch it. If you liked something in the rest of the blog or have any complaint, then let me know and I will meet you in the next blog.
